The Defenders

This is my take on The Defenders, the best superhero team comic of the 70's. I loved them when I was a kid and even after looking at it again as a grown up it still has value to me.
They were all a bunch of misfit Marvel "anti-heroes" led by Dr. Strange, the sorcerer supreme! They are often referred to as a non-team since they had such a flexible membership during the course of their run but to me The Defenders was and always should be Dr. Strange, Prince Namor, The Hulk, Silver Surfer, Valkyrie, Hellcat, and Night Hawk.
I don't really see myself ever doing anything for Marvel or DC, (as if they wanted me anyway!)but if I ever got a chance I would draw The Defenders, if only just to appease the part of me that is still obsessed with neurotic muscle men with delusions of grandeur and their underwear on the outside of their pants. There is also a part of me that wishes I could be the meat in a Valkyrie and Hellcat sandwich. God help me...
